The Travis Manion Foundation continues to promote Character In Action by empowering Veterans and Families of the Fallen to inspire the next generation of leaders

Below you will find examples of how veterans, survivors, and everyday Citizens HAVE BEEN INSPIRED BY THE TRAVIS MANION FOUNDATION TO PUT CHARACTER INTO ACTION

TERRENCE FENNINGHAM– A Veteran, Crossfit Coach, and an inaugural Travis Manion Foundation Kick Butt Character Award Recipient is highlighted in our April Character in Action Spotlight. Terrence became friends with Travis Manion during their time as classmates at the United States Naval Academy. But in the years since, Terrence has shown this insatiable drive of serving others as a way to honor his fallen brothers. His involvement with the Foundation goes back to the very beginning, and he has exemplified what “If Not Me, Then Who…” means. Take a look at his story to see how Terrence has committed to putting Character in Action.

BRENDAN O’BRIEN– We are proud to share with you our March Character in Action spotlight, which tells the story of how the Travis Manion Foundation has inspired Brendan O’Brien to serve his community. On February 23rd, 2016 Brendan O’Brien, a senior at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School, embarked on a 15-mile mission to support members of the military. O’Brien was inspired by the actions of his Capstone mentor, Albie Masland, Travis Manion Foundation Veteran Services Manager – West Coast, who ran 3,025 miles in 2012 to raise money for the Foundation. We invite you to watch to see how Brendan has been inspired to put Character into Action.

FRANK MURPHY– We are proud to share with you our February Character in Action spotlight, which tells the story of how the Travis Manion Foundation has inspired Frank Murphy and his team to serve their community. Frank is the coach of a 17 and under AAU basketball team and a 6th grade teacher at Holland Elementary School. After a devastating and tragic loss of one of their teammates, continuing to serve with the Travis Manion Foundation helped Frank and his team heal and honor their friend. We invite you to watch how Frank and his team have been inspired to put Character into Action.
