Robert Horton was born in Germany on August 28th, 1961. He later moved to Tacoma, Washington, where he grew up. He attended Washington State University and graduated with a B.S. in Psychology. He was a great athlete. He was a distance runner and enjoyed scuba diving. He enjoyed two things more than anything else, spending time with family and being outdoors.

He began his military service in the US Air Force training to be a navigator. He later transferred to the US Army, where he was a Medical Service Corps officer. His last duty station was with the 399th Combat Support Hospital in Taunton, Massachusetts.   He died on March 21st, 1999 as a result of his military service. He had over fourteen years of service in the US Army. – submitted by family
