Top Character Strengths
CURIOSITY - KINDNESS - CREATIVITY
What character strength do you value the most and why?
Kindness. I love using my strengths to be able to do for others others, and I often find that through my curiosity I know what it is that someone needs and through my creativity I can help in a special way.
How do your top character strengths support your work at TMF?
My professional experience at TMF looks a lot like “growing up TMF” as this has been my home for much of my professional career. Therefore, curiosity and creativity seem to go hand and hand as I have had the opportunity to explore many responsibilities as TMF has grown exponentially. My creativity plays a significant role as I work on the Development team through engaging generous donors, sponsors and funders through various avenues to meet their philanthropic interests with the “If Not Me, Then Who…” vision.
What do you enjoy most about working with veterans, survivors, and inspired civilians?
The best thing about working with veterans, survivors, and inspired civilians is the look they have on their face when they are serving side by side and they realize the work they are doing impacts the local community. And I enjoy the moments that I am somewhere unrelated to TMF wearing TMF (the only clothes I own at this point) and someone recognizes the Spartan shield, and they come up to me and say “I have a story for you” and they share with me the moment TMF impacted their life.
