Inspiring Service
9/11 Heroes Run
The 9/11 Heroes Run is an international race series held annually on the weekend closest to September 11th. The 9/11 Heroes Run brings communities together to run, volunteer, donate, and cheer, but most of all: honor. Through a progressive grant process and strategic collaboration, we are able to address the issues affecting the veteran, military, and first responder communities. These grants are distributed to local organizations within each community where a run is held. We unite people locally and nationally to honor the fallen, foster healing, and remember the sacrifices made by our American heroes.
Character Does Matter
Character Does Matter inspires and activates our youth while creating an opportunity for citizens to engage in tangible and powerful ways.
“Only true heroes have the strength to go out there and fight for total strangers. They deserve so much and especially the fallen ones, you know that they died with bravery and courage. Service has impacted me so much.”
-Molly Lynch, 2012 CDM Scholarship Recipient

Freedom Square

Freedom Square is a community built mosaic project that transformed an outdoor space, where visitors come to honor service to nation and reflect upon sacrifices for our unity and freedom. The Square, donated by the William L. Goldman Jr. Family, is located off Pine Street in Doylestown, Pa. Katia McGuirk of Katia Tile Co. www.katiatiles.com is the artist and creator of this beautiful space. On Friday Sept. 11, 2009, in conjuction with the 9/11 Heroes Run and honoring all of our Heroes, the Travis Manion Foundation proudly unveiled the first phase of Freedom Square.
Operation Care Package
Through the Travis Manion Foundation, we provide care packages and comfort items requested by deployed American military personnel. We also provide clothing, school supplies and other items to be distributed by our troops to the people of Afghanistan. The program is simple but its impact is profound. If you are interested in more information about the program, please contact: tina@travismanion.com
