Personality Profile
What character strength do you value the most and why?
Love of Learning, I think that it is important to never stop learning from both books and others. I feel the more we learn the more we can understand each other and make unbiased decisions that will impact our daily lives.
How do your top character strengths support your work at TMF?
I want to learn the stories of everyone around me and find a way to utilize their strengths to support TMF’s mission and my community.
What do you enjoy most about working with veterans, survivors, and inspired civilians?
I feel everyone has a story and sharing it could inspire others to act. My favorite quote to share is from Les Brown “Everyone is born unique but most of us die as copies “, and I use it as motivation for others to do what no one else is doing in their communities and to inspire actions. As a veteran I felt a void when I took off the uniform and had a hard time adjusting to civilian life. It was through the help of other veterans and my community that I was able to overcome most obstacles that were in my way.

Passions and Interests
My passion is golf, I enjoy playing as much as I can in the midwest. I also volunteer as the assistant state director for a veteran golf group. This ties into my other passion and this is working with veterans and sharing my story. I want to assist many veterans transitioning from military to civilian life and avoid some of the hardships I’ve faced during that time.
Military Connection
I served in the military from 03’-07’ and I was deployed twice overseas to Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom). As a 13-S (Field Artillery Surveyor) I was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY (101st Airborne) and served with the 2nd Brigade (Black Hearts), HHB 1/320th Unit F.A (Top Guns).
