Get ready for the 2022 Heroes Run!!!

    Race Participants,

We are excited for this weekend’s Fun Run and 5k and for you all to carry on the Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) motto:  “If not me, then who…”

To facilitate a smooth event, we want to provide you all the weekend details you may need to know.  This message will outline all things from packet-pickup on Saturday to parking and race course on Sunday.  Please take a few moments to review all the details.

    Packet Pick-up Details (Saturday - 9/17)

Location: 1000 Semmes Avenue, Richmond, Va 23224 – TForce Freight

    Time:  2pm - 5pm (EST)

Location Details:  Packets may be picked up in the parking garage of the TForce Freight building, just inside the courtyard area (red area on map).  Participants should enter the courtyard from W. 10th Street (see yellow star on map).  You will see signs from there!

Parking Details:  Parking is accessible from W 11st Street (see blue area on map).  From the parking lot, transit to the courtyard area on Semmes Ave and enter from W 10st Street.

    What to expect?

At packet pickup, you will check-in for race day and receive your 2022 Heroes Run “swag bag” with fun items from TMF and our sponsors.  You are free to drive the race course to check out the path you’ll run, walk, or transit by whichever means you plan to complete the race on Sunday!

Course:  Both the Fun Run and 5k will start and finish at the same location on W 10th across Semmes Ave from the TForce Freight building.  The Fun Run is an “out-and-back” route.  The 5k is a loop across the Robert E. Lee Bridge, onto Byrd Ave, then returning via the Manchester Bridge.  Please see the attached document for the full course maps for both the Fun Run and the 5k course.

    What to expect?

After the Opening Ceremonies, race participants will be directed to the start/finish line where our race timer – Precision Race – will mark the official start of the Fun Run and 5k.  There will be course markers and guides along the course to point participants in the correct direction.  Attached are two maps – one for the Fun Run and a second for the 5k race.  We ask that all race participants exit the courtyard area by 1pm (EST) as the road closure permit with the City of Richmond expires at that time.

Thank you and we look forward to participating with you to honor the legacies of those heroes who have gone before us and pave the way for those who will come after!

    See you all soon!
