SERVING MORE COMMUNITIES

TRAVIS MANION FOUNDATION AND THE MISSION CONTINUES JOIN FORCES

Untitled design 20

Travis Manion Foundation will acquire The Mission Continues later this year, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve.

After the attacks on September 11th, 2001, the landscape of our country changed. Our nation’s service members stepped up to defend our freedoms throughout the 20 years of war that followed that day. When they returned home, our veterans may have taken off the uniform, but their desire to lead and serve remained.

Both Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) and The Mission Continues (TMC) were founded to answer that call and provide a way for veterans to find their next mission through community, connectedness and service. Both organizations sought to empower this next greatest generation of post-9/11 veterans with programs that positioned them to lead in their communities, create connections, and experience positive mental health outcomes in the process. Through TMF and TMC, tens of thousands of veterans have been trained and equipped to mentor youth, to serve their communities, and to find renewed purpose.

Now, through this strategic move, the organization can empower even more veterans to find connectedness, opportunities to serve in meaningful ways, and proactive mental health and well-being support.

In the words that 1stLt Travis Manion, USMC, spoke before his final deployment to Iraq, TMF and TMC are now united under the “If Not Me, Then Who…” ethos as one organization with one mission.

Here’s what this means for the organization moving forward:

  • Same Mission, Greater Impact: Our commitment to veterans, families of the fallen and their communities remains steadfast. Integrating operations allows us to do even more, with greater efficiency and effectiveness. By joining forces, we will expand our reach, enhance our programs, and create more opportunities for veterans to find connection and meaningful opportunities to serve.

  • Reaching More Veterans/Serving More Communities: Together, we’re increasing opportunities for veterans and families of the fallen to lead, serve, and strengthen more communities nationwide by tackling some of the greatest needs and challenges locally. Now with a local presence in nearly 70 communities across the country, we will provide greater access to our proactive approach to mental health and well-being, one of the most critical issues impacting our military and veteran communities.

  • Seamless Integration: Veterans, volunteers, and supporters can expect the same dedication, passion, and impact they’ve come to expect from TMF. Service Platoons will continue on within TMF operations providing more veterans and families of the fallen with opportunities to serve their communities.
