Greensburg, PA - Lynch Field Helicopter Restoration

13 - Apr - 2024 thru 11 - May - 2024
Greensburg, PA - Lynch Field Helicopter Restoration

Join TMF and local volunteers as we beautify a local memorial!

The helicopter in Lynch Field Park was donated to the city around 2005 in memory of Richard "Wilkie" Wilkinson who was a Vietnam veteran and a retired Greensburg Police Captain.

Since then, the helicopter has undergone one revitalization and has remained mostly untouched for the last 10-15 years. The helicopter is showing signs of degradation, so this project is working to bring honor to our veterans by cleaning up the memorial.

We will plan to start each volunteer day at 8:30am and end by approximately 2:00pm.

Emails will be sent out a week prior to each starting date. Inclement weather may delay an activity, in which case a separate email will be sent out with an adjusted date/time.

Water, Gatorade and snacks will be provided.
