Layton, UT - Layton City Vietnam Memorial Wall Beautification

Join TMF, the Salt Lake City Chapter, and local volunteers as we beautify a local Vietnam Memorial.

A near exact replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C., the Layton Vietnam Memorial broke ground on Veterans Day 2017.  Site work began in February, 2018.  The Vietnam Memorial Wall Replica was dedicated on July 14, 2018, in ceremonies that included a flyover of four F-35s from Hill AFB.  Attended by more than 2,000 people.

Our mission for this project is to ensure the space is looking clean and ready for any foot traffic this summer.

Activities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Weeding

  • Raking/Sweeping

  • Laying Mulch

  • Scrubbing/Cleaning of the Wall

Please wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty and a pair of work gloves!  Please also wear closed-toed shoes.

Make sure to dress for the weather -- wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle!

This project will honor the life and legacy of CAPT Jim Chipman, USMC.
