Top Character Strengths

Personality Profile

What character strength do you value the most and why?

I truly believe kindness has the power to change peoples’ lives in monumental ways. In my opinion, it is harder to consistently show kindness in every situation than it is to show the latter, so with kindness comes strength. We cannot control what other people say and do, but we can always control the way we respond.

How do your top character strengths support your work at TMF?

A huge part of my role at TMF is to communicate and work with people from all over the world with the same overall goal: to serve and support our veterans and families of the fallen. Effective communication requires kindness, fairness, and an ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Ultimately, I want anyone I come in contact with to know that I care about them, I care about the work that they do, and I care about the mission that we are all working towards for our veterans and families of the fallen here at TMF.

What do you enjoy most about working with veterans, survivors, and inspired civilians?

I admire the selflessness and passion that veterans, survivors, and inspired civilians show. 9/11 Heroes Runs are executed entirely by volunteers; these are veterans, family members of the fallen, and civilians dedicating their time, money, and energy towards something where they will get nothing physical or monetary in return. However, the reward of devoting themselves to something so much larger than themselves, making a lasting impact, and changing the lives of those in their very own communities and the country that they love is priceless.
