JOIN TMF VOLUNTEERS AT COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS NATIONWIDE
Operation Legacy service projects are volunteer-led efforts that fill pressing needs in communities nationwide. TMF mobilizes volunteers four times a year for focused efforts around national days of observance: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Day of Service; Memorial Day; Back to School Character Days; and Veterans Day. Each year, these efforts result in about 30,000 service hours, empowering Spartans nationwide to positively impact their communities and inspire others to adopt an “If Not Me, Then Who…” spirit.
FOCUSED SERVICE EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
Although Operation Legacy service projects are hosted throughout the year, TMF Chapters, schools, and Spartan volunteers focus their efforts each quarter around national days of observance:
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January) - humanitarian efforts that reflect Dr. King’s character and spirit of service
- Memorial Day (May) - visits to fallen heroes at cemeteries nationwide through through #TheHonorProject
- Back to School Character Days (August) - events providing character education from Veteran Mentors and backpacks of supplies for youth nationwide
- Veterans Day (November) - efforts focused on recognizing and serving aging veteran populations

Volunteer-led TMF Chapters, school clubs, and Spartan leaders nationwide host community service projects year-round and focused efforts each quarter. Search the map below, find an event near you, and click the link to register as a volunteer.
FIND A PROJECTHost an Event
If you know of a pressing need in your community, you can host your own community service event through TMF. To get started, create a free Spartan Development Center account or login to your existing account and follow the prompts to register a project. In 7-10 business days a member of TMF staff will reach out with guidance.
