Description:
The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club has asked if there are a few good locals that might help them with a few strenuous tasks, helping to maintain the local area's trails. This is mission 1. Along the Bull Run Occoquan Trail, just outside of Clifton, PATC is trying to find a way to get cement down to Pope's Run Crossing for some stepping stone repairs.
Mission:
Move ~30 Fifty Pound Bags of cement down a half mile long rugged trail. It's only about a half mile, but there are 30 bags and it's a fairly rough trail. One bag at a time, that's a mile round trip. Depending upon who shows and how everyone is feeling, a post-mission ruck or PT session could easily be tacked on. Further, there's a pub in nearby Clifton which looks awesome for some post work cellular recovery.
Special Instructions:
PATC contact for this project; Robert Fina (PATC District Manager).
Arrive NLT 0845. Park in parking lot. Look for GORUCK Flag. The safety briefing will begin at 0900.
