The 9/11 Heroes Run unites communities internationally with the goal to never forget the sacrifices of the heroes of September 11th and the wars since: veteran, first responder, civilian and military.

Race Details

  • Additional Race Details
    Date & Time:
    - Sunday, September 17th at 11:00am 
    Volunteers: Please arrive at 9:00am to assist with set-up and race swag distribution
    - Packet pickup will go from 10:00am - 11:00am
    - There will be a short ceremony from 11:00am to 11:15am, with the race promptly kicking off at 11:20am.
     There will be a short medals/award ceremony from 1:00pm - 1:15pm

    - 1 Nichols Arboretum: 1610 Washington Heights, Ann Arbor, MI 48104
    - Here is a schematic of the race start and the mile markers for the course:
    Note: The white cross is where we'll set up the Aid Station

    Course Update:
    Because of recent weather, certain trails have closed at the Arboretum. To ensure that the course is safe, we've elected to modify the route to be three 0.5-mile out-and-backs (with a little extra at the end to get to the 5k total). We apologize for the inconvenience, but excited to have you!
    Parking:
    - Parking is free on Campus on Sundays in most places. Some spots that I recommend are: Lot M28, Lot M29 Street Parking on Observatory Street, Paid Parking in the P2 Parking lot
    - If those lots are full, Lot N4 (Thayer Structure) is available as well

  • GORUCK

    Travis Manion Foundation is proud to partner with GORUCK again in 2023, bringing rucking divisions to every 9/11 Heroes Run. Rucking is a sport grounded in Special Forces Training in which participants carry weighted rucksacks. All participants registered for the GORUCK division will receive this year's exclusive TMF GORUCK patch. Please read the rules and requirements carefully as they have changed since last year.
