Join us on September 17 at 8:00 AM (Opening Ceremonies) at Camp Mabry for the 2023 Austin, TX 9/11 Heroes Run. Race start begins at 9:00 AM.
The 9/11 Heroes Run unites communities internationally with the goal to never forget the sacrifices of the heroes of September 11th and the wars since: veteran, first responder, civilian and military.

PACKET PICKUP
Packet pickup takes place at the following dates and locations:- Sunday 9/10 - 3 PM to 5 PM- Dick’s Sporting Goods Cedar Park: 5001 183 A, Cedar Park, TX 78613- we will be set up inside. *Please NO early pick-ups. The store is only hosting us and will not have any other details.
- Saturday 9/16 – 9: 00 AM to 12:00 PM – Camp Mabry Parade Field (2200 W 35th Street): – We will be on the parade field- look for the TMF tent by the stage area. Use the main gate, located off 35thstreet (picture attached).
- Sunday 9/17 (Race Day) – 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM – on-site at Camp Mabry Parade Field
* Please NO early pick-ups. We will be set at 9:00 AM SHARP! We use the morning hours to make sure everything is in place so packet pick-up can be as seamless as possible.
- Sunday 9/17 (Race Day) – 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM – on-site at Camp Mabry Parade Field (2200 W 35th Street) *Please NO early pick-ups. we use the morning to set up for the whole race and will not be able to accomodate before designated pick up time.
Packet pickup ends at 8:30 AM sharp on Sunday so all participants and volunteers may enjoy our Opening Ceremony. Please have a valid form of ID!

Walk-up Registration will also take place at both packet pickups, so bring family and friends and get them registered on the spot!
OPENING CEREMONY
The Opening Ceremony starts at 8:30 AM. The race starts at 9:00 AM until the last runner/rucker finishes.SHIRTS
Everyone who registered by August 31st is guaranteed a shirt. The Travis Manion Foundation sent Austin some extra shirts and we will be able to accommodate some of those registering after the August 31st date (depending on size and first come).WEATHER
Our event is rain or shine. Come prepared!PARKING ON RACE DAY
There is plenty of parking available on Camp Mabry. We will be guiding everyone to park across the street from the parade field. There will be signs and overflow parking if needed. Only DV, Disabled parking will allowed behind the stage. We reserve. That spot for our first responders who are providing care day of.VENDORS
We will have vendors and booths set up from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM on Sunday on Camp Mabry Parade Field (Austin Yard Games, Taco 512 Food Truck, Liquid Death Water, Dicks Sporting Goods, Austin Community College, David Weekly and more). There’s plenty to do for non-participants so please encourage your families and friends to join us!STROLLERS/ PETS
Families with strollers are welcome! We ask that strollers start to the side or back. We also welcome our furry friends. All pets are required to be on leash and they are responsible for waste pick up.TIMING --- VERY IMPORTANT!
ALL 5k participants will be timed. If you do not wish to be timed, please let us know at packet pickup and we will remove your timing tag.VERY IMPORTANT: There may be through traffic- please be vigilant of any vehicles or instructions from volunteers.
HYDRATION
Begin hydrating NOW. This is Texas — its hot! We will have multiple water stations on the course.PARTICIPANTS IN GEAR

GORUCK
Travis Manion Foundation is proud to partner with GORUCK again in 2023, bringing rucking divisions to every 9/11 Heroes Run. Rucking is a sport grounded in Special Forces Training in which participants carry weighted rucksacks. All participants registered for the GORUCK division will receive this year's exclusive TMF GORUCK patch. Please read the rules and requirements carefully as they have changed since last year.
