    Official Race Location
    Dorm 8 - Harrell Hall

    696 Military Mall
    College Station, TX 77840

You can find this on Google Maps here. If you are not affiliated with the University and you are coming from out of town there are a few visitor parking options. Visitor parking information can be found here. The most proximal location is University Central Garage (UCG), followed by Campus Central Garage (CCG), followed by Gene Stallings Boulevard Garage (SBG). Once you park in one of these garages, you can walk over to the Quad where we will be meeting at the end of Dorm 8. You should be able to see our tents setup.

    Packet Pickup
Our tents will be set up early in the morning, but we will not begin handing out packets and shirts for participants until 7:30 AM. Packet pickup will continue until 8:45 AM so that we have time to begin the opening ceremony. Please avoid trying to pickup your packet early - we may not be ready for you. Please come with a valid form of ID so we can get you signed in with your bib as soon as possible. We will also have some bibs available for you to wear if you are running in honor of anyone! One thing to note - we should have shirts available for every participant. However, if you registered this week, there is a chance your size will not be available. There will be day-of registration available. Registration will close at 8:45 am!

    Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony will start precisely at 9:00 AM. We will be thanking our donors and playing the National Anthem. Please be here in time for this!

    Race Details
The run/walk/ruck will begin precisely at 9:30 AM right near the packet pickup location and will be ending in the same spot. Keep in mind that the distance is a little bit longer than a 5K (by about .2-.3 miles) in order to accommodate university construction and to get us to start and end on the quad. We will be running around the University Golf Course in its entirety. There will be directional signs to get from the start line to the golf course proper. Around the golf course there will be volunteers marking the way, directing traffic, and water coolers marking three corners of the golf course. There will be water at the start/finish line as well. Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed, but we cannot permit any strollers or wheeled vehicles on the course due to University regulations. At 10:30 AM the race will conclude and by 10:45 AM we will start the closing ceremony and giving medals to close the day.

There will be plenty of water there for participants, but please make sure you are drinking plenty of water from today until the race to avoid injury and prepare for the Texas heat (God willing it's a cool morning). Rain or shine, we will be racing! If you do take water on the course, please throw it away in one of our trash areas or hold onto it until the finish line. Please be good stewards of the campus as they have graciously allowed us to host the 9/11 Heroes Run!

RUCKERS: Please come with your ruck! We will have patches for you and you will be able to weigh your ruck at packet pickup.

  • GORUCK

Travis Manion Foundation is proud to partner with GORUCK again in 2023, bringing rucking divisions to every 9/11 Heroes Run. Rucking is a sport grounded in Special Forces Training in which participants carry weighted rucksacks. All participants registered for the GORUCK division will receive this year's exclusive TMF GORUCK patch. Please read the rules and requirements carefully as they have changed since last year.
