  • GORUCK RUCKING DIVISION

    Travis Manion Foundation is proud to partner with GORUCK again in 2024, bringing rucking divisions to every 9/11 Heroes Run. Rucking is a sport grounded in Special Forces Training in which participants carry weighted rucksacks. All participants registered for the GORUCK division will receive this year's exclusive TMF GORUCK patch. Please read the rules and requirements carefully as they have changed since last year. In Honor Of

Sergeant Christopher Sambuco


The West Chester 1-mile run/walk is dedicated to the memory of Sergeant Christopher Sambuco.

Sergeant Christopher Sambuco of West Chester, PA started his police career in 1989. He was a part of the Caln Township Police Department for 16 years, an assistant team leader for the Chester County Regional Emergency Response Team (SWAT), bicycle officer, and a drug task force member. He received a Letter of Commendation for his excellent work in February 2016. He was also honored by the Chester County Police Chiefs Association in 2008.
Buc, as he was called by his family and friends, loved fast cars, ice hockey, Miller Lite, and being with his friends. Buc loved nothing more than his wife, Kristine, and his four children, Ryan, Allison, Mason and Erin.
Buc passed away suddenly on April 12, 2018 from a heart attack.
Buc was an avid runner and a supporter of the 9/11 Heroes Run West Chester.
