Bernd Peters

Vice President of Business Development and Strategy Boeing Defense, Space & Security
Bernd Peters is vice president of Business Development and Strategy for Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS). In this role, Peters oversees a global team and is responsible for driving growth for the BDS portfolio by leading new business campaigns, strategies, partnerships and investments, while maintaining close customer relationships on behalf of Boeing.
Most recently, Peters was vice president of Business Development for Boeing’s Air Dominance division. In this role, he led a global business development team for the company’s tactical aircraft programs, including the F-15, F/A-18, T-7, MQ-25 and MQ-28, as well as a variety of proprietary development programs. He was charged with mission focused approach to growth and strategic direction of campaign pursuits, customer engagements, marketing campaigns, investments and industry partnerships.
Peters joined Boeing in 2008 as a structural analysis engineer on the 787 Program and progressed through positions across Engineering and Strategy before joining Business Development. Prior leadership roles within BDS Business Development included senior director of Phantom Works and director of Marketing and Operations, in which he led the Field Marketing and Customer and Market Engagement teams, responsible for BDS presence and engagement at both domestic and international air shows and exhibits.
Committed to serving veterans, he is a board member for the Travis Manion Foundation, a non-profit organization that empowers veterans and families to develop character in future generations through service opportunities.
Peters earned a Master of Science in mechanical engineering and a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology. He also received a Master of Business Administration from Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
