What character strength do you value the most and why?
I deeply value all of my top character strengths for a variety of reasons, but especially Kindness and Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence. Kindness is to be compassionate, have empathy, and a strong sense of social responsibility. These are all traits that are more like a moral compass for me and provide me with a north star when things are challenging. Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence allows me to see the world through a lens that is truly special. Seeing excellence in every day tasks or the beauty in chaos allows me to stay rooted in positivity.
How do your top character strengths support your work at TMF?
Helping others/taking care of others (Kindness) is the top character strength that supports my work at TMF the most because it is at the core of who I am and is a key motivator in my daily work. My love of learning also supports my work because I am always researching, and searching for understanding which helps me connect with individuals on their “why” supporting veterans and families of fallen is important to them.
What do you enjoy most about working with veterans, survivors, and inspired civilians?
I am extremely passionate about working with veterans, survivors, and inspired civilians and being able to give back to this deserving community in appreciation for all they have sacrificed. I enjoy building relationships with donors and sharing the impactful work we are able to accomplish together in support of the TMF mission.

Military Connection
I come from a long line of proud military service. I am an Air Force Veteran, and my eldest son is in the process of enlisting into the Air Force. I am the daughter of two Marines, and my brother also served as a Marine. My Grandfather was a Chief in the Navy, while my Grandmother was a W.A.V.E, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins have all served in various branches.
