Personality Profile

What character strength do you value the most and why?

Gratitude is the character I value most because it shifts perspective and strengthens connection. In every chapter of my life whether serving in the military, supporting my family, or working in community engagement, gratitude has grounded me. It reminds me to focus on what’s going well, even in the middle of chaos or hardship.

Gratitude creates space for humility, empathy, and resilience. It helps me recognize the contributions of others and motivates me to give back. It’s more than just saying “thank you”, it’s about living with appreciation for both the big moments and the small wins. That mindset makes me a better leader, team member, and person.

How do your top character strengths support your work at TMF?

In my role as Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region, my top character strengths guide everything I do. Kindness and love help me build genuine relationships with veterans, families, and community partners. Spirituality keeps me focused on the deeper purpose behind our mission. Gratitude fuels my commitment to serve with heart, and fairness ensures I lead with integrity, creating inclusive and respectful spaces across the region. These strengths help me live the “If Not Me, Then Who…” ethos every day.

What do you enjoy most about working with veterans, survivors, and inspired civilians?

What I enjoy most about working with veterans, survivors, and inspired civilians is the deep sense of purpose, resilience, and community they bring to everything they do. Each person carries a powerful story of service, sacrifice, and strength and I’m constantly inspired by their drive to keep serving others, even after experiencing hardship or loss.

Being able to connect with them, elevate their voices, and help create opportunities for continued impact is incredibly rewarding. It reminds me daily that character, leadership, and legacy are lived values not just words. That’s what makes this work so meaningful.
