Position Summary
The Technology Coordinator provides tier 1 technical assistance and day-to-day support for TMF’s staff and systems. This role handles help desk requests, user onboarding and offboarding, account setup, and general troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
The ideal candidate is service-oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable learning new tools and processes. Reporting to the Senior Coordinator of Technology & Training, this position helps maintain TMF’s high standards for technology reliability and user experience.
TMF will accept applications from anywhere in the continental United States, but there is a preference for candidates who live near a TMF office.

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Help Desk Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for all internal technology requests and incidents.
- Triage help desk tickets, diagnose common software and hardware issues, and escalate complex problems as needed.
- Provide remote and onsite assistance for laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Support basic Salesforce and Google Workspace issues such as login access, permissions, and sync errors.
- Document support requests, resolutions, and trends to improve future responses.
User Account & Device Management
- Set up and maintain user accounts, licenses, and permissions for TMF systems.
- Coordinate employee technology onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware, software, and licenses.
- Assist with procurement and deployment of new equipment and software.
- Ensure compliance with security standards for passwords, access control, and device management.
System Maintenance & Support
- Perform routine system checks and updates to maintain stability and performance.
- Assist with managing backups, updates, and antivirus software.
- Collaborate with external IT vendors for network or hardware service requests.
- Support small technical projects including hardware rollouts, new software implementations, and office setup assistance.
Documentation & Communication
- Maintain technology SOPs, onboarding guides, and troubleshooting resources.
- Contribute to the internal technology knowledge base with how-to articles and quick tips.
- Communicate updates and resolutions to users clearly and professionally.
- Provide feedback to the Data & Technology team on recurring issues or opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but not required.
- Military service and or connected to the U.S. military is a plus, but not required.
- At least 1 year of experience providing IT or help desk support.
- Highly proficient with common operating systems (Windows, macOS) and office software.
- Familiarity with other systems like G-Suite, Slack, and AirTable.
- Preferred but not required for this role:
- Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Basic understanding of networking, security, and system administration concepts.
- Experience supporting nonprofit or distributed teams.
- CompTIA A+ or similar entry-level certification.
- Excellent communicator with strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills; must be self-reliant and initiative-driven, while still being an effective and collaborative team member.

- Remains focused and efficient in the face of pressure and an ever-changing environment. Detail-oriented with a consistent approach to documentation and follow-up.
- Dedicated to the foundation’s mission and has a passion for service/community development.
- Other duties as assigned, including 3-5 trips throughout the year to support TMF programming and events. One of those trips includes attending staff training during the first week of March.
- Must have their own car in working condition and a valid driver’s license. Proof of automobile insurance is required. TMF does reimburse for mileage when a personal vehicle is used for business travel.

The pay for this position is $50k and is based on the candidate’s work experience, skills, and abilities. TMF offers a benefits package, which includes medical and dental, short-term disability, long-term disability, life and participation in our 401(k) program, to name a few. In addition, we have an attractive PTO policy along with holidays and paid parental leave.
