Any passionate Spartan can create a fundraiser to unite friends, families, and communities to raise funds for Travis Manion Foundation. These fundraisers support our vital mission: to empower veterans and families of the fallen to develop character in the next generation.



Gather your event team

Each fundraiser is unique, and can be as simple or complex as the host chooses. Events can be held by any individual Spartan, family, company, organization, club, or school. The key to success is passion to support TMF’s mission, no matter how much you raise. If your fundraiser raises $1000 or more, you will be eligible to join our elite Spartan Society.

Decide what type of event to hold

There are a variety of events that bring in vital donations to further our mission and bring new Spartans into the TMF community. Past fundraisers have included: birthday campaigns on Facebook, fun runs, golf outings, happy hours, corporate dress-down Fridays, and virtual events such as video-conference trivia nights.


Receive support from TMF

Our staff will guide you with: organization and support, a digital platform to manage online registration for your event, online donation pages, and advice on best practices for Peer to Peer fundraising. Depending on the fundraiser, TMF may also provide swag or giveaway items for your donors or guests.

    What qualifies as a fundraiser?

    Your fundraiser can be an event or social campaign that raises money for Travis Manion Foundation and support our mission to empower veterans and families of the fallen to instill character in future generations. Anyone can host a fundraiser, from corporate dress-down days, golf tournaments, athletic events, birthday fundraisers, to happy hours, and more.

    What event planning support does TMF offer?

    TMF offers a wide variety of support throughout the planning process, including consultation, use of TMF logo (all designs must be submitted to TMF prior to printing), and TMF or Spartan Ambassador attendance at your event, when available. We will also provide personal fundraising pages & event registration pages, TMF swag or branded giveaways (wristbands, lapel pins, car magnets, stickers, and literature), coordination of check presentations, and promotion on our regional Facebook pages, when applicable.

    Is there anything that TMF cannot provide for my fundraiser?

    We are here to support you. However, we are unable to provide some services, such as comprehensive event planning, permits or insurance/liability coverage, and funding for or reimbursement of expenses. TMF will not provide a mailing list of donors and/or vendors and can not guarantee the attendance of TMF staff member(s) or arrange guest speakers.

    Is there a minimum amount that needs to be raised to qualify as a fundraiser?

    No. Funds raised vary depending on the individual event or social campaign, so there is no minimum that needs to be met in order to qualify as a fundraising event. Every event, no matter the size, helps TMF to execute our vital mission.

    Do I need to create a 501c3 (nonprofit) organization to host a fundraiser for TMF?

    No. Anyone can host a fundraiser once they’ve received TMF approval.

    Will each of my donors receive a detailed receipt?

    Everyone who makes a direct donation to TMF through an event fundraising page or by check will get a receipt. If any cash donors request a receipt, the event organizer must collect all contact information for that individual and follow up with a TMF staff member who will process that receipt. 

    Should I personally thank my donors?

    Please do. It is important to express gratitude to everyone who was involved with your fundraiser. You are all integral to supporting our mission and perpetuating the “If Not Me, Then Who…” ethos.
