Position Summary
The Manager of Marketing & Communications will focus on leading, supporting, and executing a variety of marketing and strategic initiatives across the organization. This individual will be responsible for managing several projects simultaneously and managing details for a variety of timely projects to achieve organizational goals. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this individual is a member of the Marketing & Communications department.
It is important for this manager to have previous experience working on both digital and print projects, as well as being comfortable with the development and execution of campaign plans. It is a requirement for this individual to have experience with management of competing timelines, managing, and implementing feedback on projects, communicating with the right team(s) internally and externally, managing project success, as well as experience with thinking strategically about how to achieve goals established by the department.
TMF will accept applications from anywhere in the continental United States but there is a preference for candidates who live in the eastern or central time zones. There is also a preference for candidates who live near a TMF office.

Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) unites communities to strengthen America's national character by empowering veterans and families of fallen to develop and lead future generations. Duties and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate for this position is a strong project manager and communicator who can ensure information is shared with appropriate team members on both the Marketing & Communications team as well as cross-departmentally. Ideally, this team member is a well-rounded marketing/communications practitioner with experience working on a variety of projects to include marketing campaign plans that drive volunteer recruitment, email marketing, marketing collateral, website management, partnership activations, public relations, and more.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Develops and supports execution of marketing campaign plans.
- Manage details for a variety of digital and print projects, development of email campaigns, tracks campaigns toward the pre-established goals, assesses success of campaigns upon completion, etc.
- Strategically identifies opportunities for storytelling, brand amplification, and/or improved communications.
- Manages public relations campaigns and execution in local markets.
- Handles project management for external graphic design projects, like workbooks/program books, etc.
- Ensures the website is updated for assigned campaigns and pages are created to align with campaign goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (or previous military service) is preferred; minimum of 3 years’ work experience in marketing, PR or advertising in non-profit, agency, or corporate environment.
- Self-starter with excellent organizational and customer service skills; must be self-reliant and initiative-driven, while still being an effective and collaborative team member.
- Experience reviewing graphic design and branding projects.
- Experience working with creative team members, to include copy writers and external graphic designers and design teams.
- Experience in PR writing, tactics, and execution is preferred.
- Familiarity with platforms such as G-Suite, Canva, Flickr, Dropbox, Salesforce, Pardot, and Classy is a plus.
- Excellent and persuasive communicator with exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills
- Remains focused and efficient in the face of pressure, delivers results with timelines; not intimidated by complex tasks, challenging timelines, or a fast-paced work environment.
- Energetic, flexible, and proactive with dedication to the mission of Travis Manion Foundation and a passion for service and community development.

- Must have their own car in working condition and a valid driver’s license. Proof of automobile insurance is required. TMF does reimburse for mileage when a personal vehicle is used for business travel.
- Military service and/or connected to the U.S. military is a plus, but not required.
Compensation

The pay for this position is $70k and is based on the candidate’s work experience, skills, and abilities. TMF offers a benefits package, which includes medical and dental, short-term disability, long-term disability, life and participation in our 401(k) program, to name a few. In addition, we have an attractive PTO policy along with holidays and paid parental leave.
