Position Summary 

The Senior Coordinator of Individual Giving plays a critical role in advancing TMF’s individual giving strategy by supporting donor cultivation, stewardship, acquisition, and retention efforts. This position reports to the Director of Individual Giving to maintain donor data integrity, lead research efforts for low to mid-level donors, and implement targeted engagement strategies. As a key member of the Development team, this senior coordinator will manage a portfolio of up to 200 current donors, cultivate and steward relationships, deepening donor relationships. This role requires strong analytical skills, creative thinking, and a collaborative spirit to help reduce donor attrition and grow TMF’s base of individual supporters.

TMF accepts applications from candidates across the continental United States, with a preference for those located near a TMF office. This senior coordinator can expect occasional travel (up to 20%).

Duties and Responsibilities 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Donor Cultivation, Stewardship & Research

  • Support the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors in collaboration with the director.
  • Cultivate and manage a portfolio of lower-level donors and assist with stewardship of donors in the $500-$1500 range.
  • Conduct donor prospecting and research to help identify giving capacity and affinity.
  • Support the planning and execution of donor socials and stewardship events to enhance engagement and deepen donor connections.
  • Maintain up-to-date donor records in the CRM system (Salesforce) and ensure accurate tracking of interactions and gift data.
  • Oversee and execute donor acknowledgement and gift recognition processes.
  • Manage campaign deliverables.
  • Serve as a communication liaison across departments and with external partners.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Generate custom donor reports and giving analysis to inform strategy and monitor progress toward goals.
  • Coordinate regular data pulls and list generation for appeals, campaigns, and stewardship initiatives.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of donor records and gift entry processes within Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate data for campaign reports.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline and optimize fundraising operations.

Communications & Campaign Support

  • Collaborate with the Individual Giving team to draft donor communications, appeals, and stewardship materials across email, direct mail, and digital platforms.
  • Review and refine messaging for donor-facing content to ensure it aligns with TMF’s voice and mission.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of donor engagement campaigns and personalized outreach to lapsed and prospective donors.

Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with TMF’s Development, Data & Technology, Events, Marketing & Communications, and Programs teams to ensure cohesive and mission-aligned donor engagement.
  • Provide administrative support as needed to advance strategic initiatives and fundraising priorities of the Individual Giving team.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and mission-driven team culture focused on innovation, efficiency, and impact.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or donor relations.
  • Experience in donor research or prospecting; wealth screening, knowledge of direct mail campaigns is a plus.
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite, familiarity with Salesforce is strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; must be self-reliant and initiative-driven, while still being an effective and collaborative team member. Strong project management skills are critical for success in this role!
  • Remains focused and efficient in the face of pressure, delivers results with timelines; not intimidated by complex tasks, challenging timelines, or a fast-paced work environment.
  • Energetic, flexible, and proactive with dedication to the mission of Travis Manion Foundation and a passion for service and community development.
  • Must have their own car in working condition and a valid driver’s license. Proof of automobile insurance is required. TMF does reimburse for mileage when a personal vehicle is used for business travel.
  • Able to attend occasional events and/or donor meetings, some after-hours/weekend work. Travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Military service and/or connected to the U.S. military is a plus, but not required.

Compensation

The pay for this position is $60k and is based on the candidate’s work experience, skills, and abilities. TMF offers a benefits package, which includes medical and dental, short-term disability, long-term disability, life and participation in our 401(k) program, to name a few. In addition, we have an attractive PTO policy along with holidays and paid parental leave.
