Teaming Up with Project Rock


Under Armour, a long-time supporter of the Character Does Matter youth mentorship program, approached TMF with a Veterans Day partnership through its Project Rock Freedom Collection. What began as a plan to share the TMF mission with a broader audience grew into a opportunity to spotlight a critical issue facing many veterans after leaving service: the loss of purpose and identity. Through coordinated public relations efforts and strategic storytelling across social media, the campaign led to increased sales for Project Rock, over 1 million in video views, and 55 million in readership across national media in November.

TMF and Under Armour shared the story of decorated combat veteran, Maj. Brian “Tosh” Chontosh, USMC (Ret), an active leader in TMF’s Spartan Leadership Program.
