The 2026 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and honor the heroes who stepped up to serve that day and in the wars that followed. This event helps ensure future generations understand the significance of September 11, 2001, and continue to honor our first responders and service members for years to come.

    Get Ready, Hinesville!

    Travis Manion Foundation 9/11 Heroes Run

    Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Shuman Recreation Center, 800 Tupelo Trail, Hinesville, GA 31313 | 8:30–11:30 a.m.

    More than 200 participants are coming together for the Travis Manion Foundation 9/11 Heroes Run in Hinesville!

    Whether you are walking, rucking, running, volunteering, or simply coming out to experience the mission of the Travis Manion Foundation, this day is for our entire community. Together, we will honor the fallen heroes of September 11, celebrate those who continue to serve, and inspire the next generation through character and service.

    Race-Day Agenda

    8:00 a.m. — Volunteer Huddle

    All volunteers should arrive at 8:00 a.m. for a brief huddle and final race-day instructions.

    8:15 a.m. — Packet Pickup and Check-In

    Breakfast refreshments and drinks will be available.

    Opening Ceremony

    • Welcome and introduction to the Travis Manion Foundation

    • Presentation of the Colors by Bradwell Institute JROTC

    • Pledge of Allegiance led by a Liberty County firefighter

    • Words of encouragement from Karen Bell, United States Army veteran, as she shares her “why” and what inspires her to continue serving

    9:00 a.m. — The 9/11 Heroes Run Begins!

    After the Race

    The celebration continues with youth activities and opportunities to engage with our community partners. Participants should plan to stay until 11:30 a.m. to experience everything planned for the day.

    Lunch from Baldino’s will be provided for participating youth. Drinks and refreshments will also be available.

    Come ready to walk, ruck, run, serve, connect, and honor our heroes. We cannot wait to welcome more than 200 members of our community!

  • GORUCK RUCKING DIVISION

    Travis Manion Foundation is proud to partner with GORUCK again in 2026, bringing rucking divisions to every 9/11 Heroes Run. Rucking is a sport grounded in Special Forces Training in which participants carry weighted rucksacks. All participants registered for the GORUCK division will receive this year's exclusive TMF GORUCK patch. Please read the rules and requirements carefully.
