Join Travis Manion Foundation and local volunteers for our annual cleanup of the Veteran's Memorial at Lynch Field Park.  

The helicopter in Lynch Field Park was donated to the city around 2005 in memory of Richard "Wilkie" Wilkinson who was a Vietnam veteran and a retired Greensburg Police Captain. 

Over a 6-week period in 2024, 35 dedicated volunteers contributed a combined 400 hours to restore and maintain the helicopter and memorial site. Efforts included scrubbing, sanding, painting, stenciling, landscaping, and more. 

This upcoming event marks the annual clean-up, where volunteers will support general maintenance, landscaping, and help identify any areas in need of attention or repair.

This is a powerful opportunity to reflect, connect, and serve, ensuring that every step taken in memory is returned with purpose and gratitude.

Please adhere to the following:

• Dress for the weather; Sunscreen/hats/raincoats encouraged 

• Closed-toe shoes are a must and long pants are strongly recommended

• Wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty

• *Please bring a personal water bottle*
