Join TMF and local Spartans for a meaningful community service project aimed at two important goals: supporting our local food cupboard and honoring our veterans.
As a community, we will collect non-perishable food items to replenish the shelves of our food cupboard, which is currently in urgent need. Please bring your donated items in a rucksack (or backpack) to symbolize the load carried by our veterans.
In addition, we will dedicate this day of service to recognize and celebrate the brave men and women of the armed services in honor of Veterans Day. Let’s unite in service, generosity, and gratitude to make a positive impact in our community. Your participation can make a difference!
We will meet in downtown Holly Springs (corner of Rogers Street and Avent Ferry Road) and ruck our donations to the food cupboard, following a 3.2-mile route. Along the way, we will pass by Veterans Park in Holly Spring, taking a moment to reflect on the significance of Veterans Day.
For the return trip, we will follow a more direct 1-mile route back to our starting point.
This project will honor the life and legacy of Capt. David "Seth" Mitchell, USMC.
