Houston, TX - Benavidez Elementary Community Garden Beautification

Join TMF as we'll be clearing a half-acre portion of a community garden; specifically, clearing downed trees and overgrown brush. The garden has become overgrown and damaged due to the February 2021 freeze and inattention due to COVID. The tidied-up community garden will serve the Gulfton community and families of students.
Gulfton is Houston's most densely populated neighborhood with a large refugee and immigrant population. This garden is intended to become a multi-cultural community "oasis" and a source of food for the community.
