Jacksonville, FL - MLK Day: Building a Legacy — Cultivating Bridge the Gap Garden of Eden
Serve shoulder-to-shoulder with volunteers from The Mission Continues, which was recently acquired by Travis Manion Foundation. Veterans in Service projects like this one are made possible by support from Navy Federal Credit Union.
In Honor of MLK Day: Building a Legacy, The Travis Manion Foundation will be partnering with Bridge the Gap and other community partners for a day of impact and community connection. Bridge the Gap is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, individuals with disabilities, and families in need across Northeast Florida. Through food distribution, transportation assistance, and personal care programs, they help bridge critical gaps for thousands of underserved residents each week.
What’s Happening? We’re partnering with Bridge the Gap to continue Dr. King’s mission of service. This day goes beyond volunteering—it’s a chance to unite, reflect, and honor his legacy by building a stronger, healthier community.
Volunteer projects will include: Working in the community garden, replacing raised garden beds, and refilling garden beds with fresh soil
