Join Travis Manion Foundation, the Salt Lake City Chapter, and local volunteers as we come together to beautify the Layton City Vietnam Memorial.
The memorial is a near-exact replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Construction began in 2017, and the wall replica was dedicated on July 14, 2018, during a ceremony attended by more than 2,000 people and featuring a flyover from four F-35s from Hill Air Force Base. The site serves as a powerful tribute to those who served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War.
During this project, volunteers will help prepare the memorial for summer visitors by completing tasks such as weeding, raking and sweeping, laying mulch, and cleaning the wall and benches.
Please wear clothing you don’t mind getting dirty, closed-toed shoes, and bring work gloves if you have them. We also recommend dressing for the weather, wearing sunscreen, and bringing a water bottle.
This project will honor the life and legacy of SGT Bryan Cooper Mount, USA.
