Join us for a celebration of spring, service, and Sasha Bruce on April 20, 2024! 10 am - 12 pm
The day will kick off with gardening and landscaping tasks as we prepare the grounds for the season. You'll help create a colorful and joyful space for the young people staying at our Bruce House emergency home.
Live music, delicious barbeque, and socializing with fellow Sasha Bruce community members will follow.
ABOUT THE BRUCE HOUSE The Sasha Bruce House is the District's only emergency home for homeless and runaway youth. It is open 24 hours a day, and any youth can be driven to the house from any safe place (identified by yellow triangles around the city) or by calling our emergency hotline. At Bruce House, youth can stay with us for up to 90 days while we work to reunite them with family or another stable environment.
