TEAMWORK - HUMOR - LEADERSHIP

AOC Corey Ferguson was an incredible leader! He would never let another fall on his watch. He was funny and fiercely loyal to his crew, family, and friends. He was very balanced and pushed you to be the best you could be. I wouldn't say he was the most patient teacher, but he made you want to learn. He did all he could to help his people be the best and safest they could be. Corey was on a type 1 fire team and made maps for them. He made maps for the Forest Service as well. Corey was the dad that played on the playground with all the kids. He taught them all to climb trees, scale boulders and jump from places you probably shouldn't jump from without getting hurt. His heart was bigger than He was.

Character Strength Story:

LEADERSHIP - In Chief training, he broke the rules to stand up for another sailor going through the training with him.  He was willing to give up his position in order to save another person's integrity. 

HUMOR - I met my husband while he was hanging upside down out of a tree literally acting like a monkey. He always did things to make you laugh. He had my daughter come into the kitchen to help make pizza. He threw the dough up and let it land on her head. They laughed all night over that.
