Theodore Church, or Tuc, was born and raised in southern Ohio. At 18, he enlisted in the Navy where he spent three years. After the Navy, Tuc decided to enlist in the Army as a Cavalry Scout. During his first deployment to Iraq, he decided to become a warrant officer and pilot. He then became a pilot of the Kiowa helicopter. His helicopter crashed after heavy enemy fire during his second deployment to Iraq. - submitted by family
