Lance Corporal Adam J. Crumpler was killed in action June 18th, 2005 by small-arms fire while conducting combat operations against enemy forces during Operation Spear in Karabilah, Iraq. Crumpler was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, NC. He joined the Marine Corps in 2003 after graduating from Riverside High school in WV. Adam was survived by his sister, grandmothers, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
