Courtney P Houston III was born on December 23rd, 1954 in Dover, Delaware to the late Judge Courtney P Houston Jr. and Gloria S Houston. He was affectionately known as Corky. He attended Delaware State College and entered into the US Army on May 8, 1975 and married Doris M Sullivan on that day as well. A year later twin sons were welcomed into the world.  He was a loving, caring and hardworking man. After 9 years active duty, Corky entered into the reserves of which he remained until his death September 2, 2013. He also was employed with the US Postal Service as a postmaster until his death.

Corky loved music which started from his teenage years when he played tenor sax with his friends in a band. Outside of his family his other passion was the Pittsburgh Steelers of which his loyalty never wavered.  Everyone who knew him spoke of his dedication to his family, his country and his friends and his compassion for helping anyone he could. -Submitted by family
