Byron Norwood graduated from Pflugerville High School in 1998 and was active in marching band, jazz band and drama. Upon graduation, he joined the Marine Corps, following in the footsteps of both his grandfathers who served combat tours with the Marines during World War II. Byron loved his brother Marines and willingly sacrificed his life to save theirs. Norwood was also known as a man who cherished his family, relied on his faith and had exemplary courage and maturity. -submitted by family
