Character Strength Stories:

Bravery - I recall a phone call from Antwan while he was in Iraq, telling me things there were pretty rough and he had never seen anything like it before. As his mother I wanted to protect him, so I said, "Well, if you make a mistake, shoot yourself in the foot and you will be able to come home." He replied, "Mom, I’m a real soldier and you have to be brave!"

Gratitude - Antwan always showed gratitude for every kind gesture someone did for him.

Kindness - From the time that he was a little boy, Antwan always showed kindness.
