CREATIVITY - FORGIVENESS - HUMOR

SGT Christopher James Taylor was born to James and Diana Taylor. Both were in the Army when they met. He has 5 brothers, one whom passed away at the age of three and 3 sisters. He and I met in middle school and became a couple during senior year. He enlisted in the Army almost right out of high school. We got married and had our first child all in the same year. We have two children together: Xaviér, who is now 20 years old and Aaliyah, who is now 17 years old. He was killed in Iraq, along with two other soldiers, while exiting a bunker. Our lives have not been the same since. We all try to get through this difficult loss the best way we know how.

Character Strength Stories: 
Creativity - Naturally being funny, we both always found creative ways to humor one another. That was one of the things that attracted us to one another.

Forgiveness - We were both forgiving in our relationship. One of the things I miss the most about my late husband is that he was more forgiving of my shortcomings than I ever was of my own shortcomings. He helped teach me not to be so hard on myself.

Humor - Although we were both silly people, he was naturally funny. He was able to make anyone laugh unexpectedly, which made the things he use to say even more funny.
