CURIOSITY - LEADERSHIP - HUMOR

Gus was a man of deep integrity and quiet strength. He served his country with honor and dedication, embodying the values of duty, sacrifice, and courage. At home, he was a devoted father: gentle, present, and fiercely protective. As a husband, he was a steady source of unwavering love and support. His legacy is one of service, loyalty, and profound love for his family. He will never be forgotten.

Character Strength Stories:

Curiosity - Gus was always brave. As a teenager, he lived for hunting, fishing, and being out in nature. Sometimes he would leave for days with just the clothes on his back, water, and snacks just to go explore nature. He was an avid hunter and dedicated to the sport. He shot a record bear in Colorado just before he passed away in 2019.

Leadership - Gus was always confident but humble. He never boasted and loved teaching others the skills he was passionate about. He ran a local archery group where he would engage in fellowship and teach others the sport.

Humor - Gus was very funny! He loved to prank people, and would say off-the-wall things to make people laugh or shock them.
