My son, Damion, was born in Kingston, Jamaica on February 26, 1982. When he was seven, we migrated to the US. During elementary school, I enrolled him in the Boy Scouts because he showed interest in that field. Then, he attended high school at Forest Park. He joined JROTC, winning a lot of trophies for the school. During his last year at Forest Park, he informed me that he was going to join the Army, which I was a little scared about. But as his mother, I supported him in his choice. Upon graduation, he went straight to bootcamp at Fort Benning, GA, and from there he took off excelling in everything he did.
