Adam William Sines was born December 6, 1980 in Muskegon, MI. He was the youngest of 4 boys and was always very close to his family. Adam was a curious kid that could definitely be a bit mischievous. He always loved the outdoors - hunting and fishing were his happy place. He enjoyed wrestling and track in school and excelled in shop class with woodworking. School wasn't always the best fit for Adam, as his knowledge and talents lied more in hands-on, experience-based work. After graduating, Adam worked for about a year in the construction business before deciding his next step in life would be to join the United States Army. The Army changed Adam in many ways... it taught him about a whole new level of responsibility, work ethic and brotherhood. Adam proudly served from 2001-2014, being stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY, Ft. Carson, CO, Grafenwoehr, GE, and Ft. Jackson, SC. He completed 4 deployments (2 to Iraq and 2 to Afghanistan), which included Operation Anaconda.

Adam always wore a mischievous smile on his face. He had the greatest jokes and most sarcastic, yet loveable, sense of humor. He could make friends with anyone, as it was impossible to not love his contagious smile, laugh and personality.  Yet, Adam held the effects of war deep within his soul. In 2013, Adam sought help with his PTSD, admitting himself into a rehabilitation program in hopes of "fixing it", not just for himself, but even more so for his family. While his efforts to heal were tremendous, Adam did not make it through the remainder of the program and our hero was lost on November 6, 2014. - submitted by family
