Allen Thomas was an NCO in the 82nd ABN DIV. He had deployed 3 times, A two time Purple Heart recipient. He was severely injured in March of 2010 when a suicide bomber blew up, taking out his left lung, collapsing his right, leaving him with burns down his back and chest tubes to help him breath. Leaving life altering invisible wounds. TBI, PTSD. Ending his Army career and leaving him broken hearted. After years of rehabilitation- in the late summer of 2013, he lost his battle to Suicide. He left behind his two daughters and myself.

Allen could light up a room, his smile radiated. I miss the way he would smirk at me when he thought I said something ridiculous. He was smart and always wanted to teach me and the girls new things. This was his way of showing his leadership outside of the Army. He would talk for hours about the history of our Country.
