Bob Woodruff Foundation Honors Travis Manion Foundation Spartan With Super Bowl Experience

Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) is proud to announce that, as part of the NFL's Salute to Service initiative, the Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF) has selected Rebecca Tutela, an Army veteran and dedicated TMF Spartan, to attend the Super Bowl with her family. This recognition is a testament to Rebecca's unwavering commitment to service, leadership, and community.

“We are thrilled for Rebecca and her son, Danny, who were surprised by the NFL with tickets to the big game through the Super Bowl LX Giveaway Program!” says Emily Bader with Bob Woodruff Foundation. Bob Woodruff Foundation's recognition of Rebecca through this Super Bowl opportunity highlights how both BWF and TMF understand that supporting veterans isn't just about acknowledging past service—it's about investing in their continued growth, celebrating their ongoing contributions, and creating opportunities for them to thrive in their post-military lives.

After serving in the Army from 2013-2017, including a deployment to Afghanistan in 2014, Rebecca has seamlessly transitioned from military service to community leadership. After the uniform came off, Rebecca’s commitment to service has only deepened.

As a Veteran Mentor for TMF’s hallmark youth mentorship program, Character Does Matter powered by UA Freedom, Rebecca has touched the lives of youth from elementary school through college with passion and authenticity.

Despite the demands of caring for her two children, including one who is medically complex, Rebecca has found renewed purpose and belonging through TMF. Through the Spartan Leadership Program, she's discovered tools to amplify her voice as an advocate for her son and other youth facing their own battles. "SLP has unlocked emotions that have been suppressed for me for a while, but in this community I am safe,” says Rebecca. “It’s a freeing feeling, and knowing that you’ll be able to learn about yourself and find growth and new strength is something that is immeasurable.” The Spartan Leadership program is made possible in part by an NFL-Bob Woodruff Foundation Salute to Service partnership.

Rebecca’s children are growing up watching their mother model servant leadership. They participate in Operation Legacy service projects and attend events like the 9/11 Heroes Run, learning firsthand that character is built through action. "Rebecca truly embodies the spirit of selfless service, consistently thinking of others, caring deeply for her family, and living a life rooted in giving back," says a member of the TMF team. “She gives 100% to everything she does, and 150% to the people around her.” Rebecca Tutela is living proof that service doesn't end with the uniform. It evolves, deepens, and inspires others to lead lives of character and purpose.
