Injured on the Day 1stLT Travis Manion Died, Marine Veteran Finds a Unique Connection + Path to Healing with TMF

Marine Veteran Chuck Segel has a unique connection to Travis Manion Foundation and, especially, to President Ryan Manion. After being shot and pulled to safety by 1stLt Travis Manion (USMC) minutes before Travis was fatally wounded, Chuck has spent the past 13 years trying to heal from the events of that day. In February 2020, after Chuck's path with Ryan continued to cross, he traveled alongside her, other families of fallen heroes and veterans to Puerto Rico to rebuild and repair homes damaged by Hurricane Maria.

On Memorial Day, Chuck and Ryan spoke to The Today Show about their connection and the impact TMF initiatives have on the well-being and mental health of those who participate. Watch the video above.
