BILL WILLIAMS, CEO AND MANAGING PARTNER, IPT

What inspires you to give to The Travis Manion Foundation?

As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) owned by an Air Force veteran, IPT has a deep appreciation for the service and sacrifice of our country’s military community and the families behind our military. Our company has many Veteran employees and works with many Veterans as a contractor in the federal marketplace supporting agencies such as the Air Force, Department of Defense (DoD), and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). On top of all this, one of IPT’s core values is to give back to our communities in a meaningful way and to support the causes we deem important such as TMF. Embracing these corporate values solidifies our firm’s character, shapes IPT’s leaders, and has been paramount in IPT’s continued growth over these past few years.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you became involved with TMF?

I am a retired Lt. Col. from the United States Air Force having served as an Acquisition officer, ROTC Instructor, and liaison officer to the United States Air Force Academy. Since taking over IPT, my business partner, Mike Mordas, and I have made it a point to give back to communities and organizations that support the Veterans and their families. The humility, character, and the fierce determination embodied in the “If not me, then who…” mantra is exactly what I look for in our leadership.

How does the mission of the Travis Manion Foundation align with the values of IPT Associates, LLC?

Our company purpose is to “develop leaders that will impact the communities we serve with fierce determination, fearless integrity, and passionate service.” We value diverse viewpoints that create a collective wisdom, and we invest in our people to become leaders of tomorrow. These corporate values align with TMF’s mantra “If not me, then who…” and has helped IPT Associates build strong business relationships while remaining innovative and agile in everything we do. As a result, IPT has become a great place to work and has allowed us to give back to institutions like the Travis Manion Foundation.  IPT has often matched many of our employees’ contributions to charities or non-profit organizations such as TMF. In 2015, in addition to TMF, IPT also supported the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, NEC Foundation, Avon Foundation for Breast Cancer, Boston Bruins Charitable Foundation, Inc., Dana Farber – Jimmy Fund, Special Olympics of Massachusetts, The Gridiron Club of Greater Boston, St. Michael School, and the Ron Burton Training Village.

Why is it important for a company like IPT Associates, LLC to support our veterans and families of the fallen?

IPT has supported the warfighter’s mission within the DoD since our company’s inception. We are proud to assist the Air Force, the DoD, and the VA with critical programs that directly benefit those who serve our nation. For example, since 2011 our team has been supporting the Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS) which works towards improving the process of delivering Veterans the benefits they deserve. As a SDVOSB with many Veterans working within our company, we understand the importance of supporting the Veterans and their families through not just our work within the defense industry, but through our actions outside of our daily life. Through our support of TMF, IPT is able to support those who have served.
