The WeINSPIRE Movement (WeINSPIRE) is excited to announce our partnership with Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of 9/11. TMF unites veterans and families of fallen heroes to lead the charge in creating a nation of purpose-driven individuals and thriving communities built upon character.
WeINSPIRE will partner with TMF to tell four stories, one per Thursday, starting August 26th leading up to September 11th of the moments forever etched in our memories ranging from a survivor, a family member of the fallen, Veteran, and First Responder on the scene. This collection of stories will be highlighted on the WeINSPIRE website and named “9/11 Stories of Heroism, Hope, and Inspiration: 20 Years Later”.
WeINSPIRE Founder/CEO Jamarl D. Clark said, “The WeINSPIRE Movement is proud to partner with Travis Manion Foundation to tell the stories that remind us all never to forget the spirit of 9/11. How, as a country, we raised above the ashes and prevailed over this tragedy."
WeINSPIRE unites with TMF to inspire communities by remembering the sacrifices of the heroes of the September 11th attacks. WeINSPIRE’s mission is to connect people doing good, generate inspirational stories, and ignite positive action. Therefore, to ignite positive action we are encouraging people to participate in the 9/11 Heroes Run 5K National Race Series hosted by TMF. This annual race series has seen upwards of 90 race locations around the world, uniting more than 60,000 people to celebrate our heroes and honor those lost on 9/11 and in the wars since. As an added bonus, WeINPIRE readers who register for the 9/11 Heroes Run can use the discount code INSPIRE15 to receive a 15% discount at all locations, in-person or virtual, eligible on 5K Run and 5K GORUCK registration types. About WeINSPIRE Movement:
WeINSPIRE began in 2014 as one day dedicated to spreading positivity and inspiration to people all over America. Today it has grown into a worldwide community powered by people doing good, for people seeking joy. After a year of economic disparity, racial tension, and health insecurity, the need for celebrating the good has never been greater. During these turbulent times, WeINSPIRE is fostering a much-needed community of positivity, giving hope to those who are struggling and shifting the negative narrative to one of joy.
About Travis Manion Foundation
Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) unites communities to strengthen America’s national character by empowering veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop and lead future generations. In 2007, 1stLt Travis Manion (USMC) was killed in Iraq while saving his wounded teammates. Today, Travis’ legacy lives on in the words he spoke before leaving for his final deployment, “If Not Me, Then Who…” Guided by this mantra, veterans continue their service, develop strong relationships with their communities and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation.
The story of 1stLt Travis Manion and his Naval Academy brother LT(SEAL) Brendan Looney have been publicized in the book Brothers Forever, and additional information about the Foundation can be found at www.travismanion.org.
