Position Summary 

The Senior Coordinator of Marketing & Communications plays a key role in executing integrated marketing and communications strategies that advance TMF’s mission. This position manages and implements multi-channel campaigns, develops compelling content, and coordinates projects across digital, print, and partner initiatives. 

Reporting to the Manager of Marketing & Communications, this role collaborates across departments and with external vendors to deliver high-quality marketing assets that drive volunteer engagement, event registrations, donor campaigns, and brand awareness. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization making a national impact, while gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of marketing and communications initiatives.

About Travis Manion Foundation 

Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) unites communities to strengthen America's national character by empowering veterans and families of fallen to develop and lead future generations. In 2007, 1stLt Travis Manion was killed in Iraq while saving his wounded teammates. Travis' legacy lives on in the words he spoke before leaving for his final deployment, "If Not Me, Then Who..." Guided by this ethos, veterans continue their service, develop strong relationships with their communities, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

The ideal candidate brings experience across content development, digital marketing, and campaign execution. They are highly organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and comfortable collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners. This individual is both detail-oriented and creative, with the ability to translate organizational priorities into effective marketing initiatives that support volunteer recruitment, partnership activations, and audience engagement. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Execute integrated marketing campaigns across email, web, and print channels.
  • Develop and edit content including emails, web pages, and marketing materials.
  • Manage project timelines and coordinate deliverables across internal teams and external vendors.
  • Update and maintain website content to support campaigns and organizational priorities.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Contribute to brand storytelling and ensure consistency across all communications.
  • Support partnership activations and marketing initiatives tied to organizational programs. 

Qualifications 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or previous military service).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Experience with email and SMS marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Account Engagement/Pardot, or similar tools).
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and website updates. Highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite. 
  • Strong writing and editing skills; self-starter with excellent organizational skills; must be self-reliant and initiative-driven, while still being an effective and collaborative team member. 
  • Remains focused and efficient in the face of pressure, delivers results with timelines; not intimidated by complex tasks, challenging timelines, or a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Energetic, flexible, and proactive with dedication to the mission of Travis Manion Foundation and a passion for service and community development. 
  • Must have their own car in working condition and a valid driver’s license. Proof of automobile insurance is required. TMF does reimburse for mileage when a personal vehicle is used for business travel. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization. 
  • Basic graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.). 
  • Experience working with external vendors or agencies. 
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Travis Manion Foundation uses Salesforce). 
  • Military service and/or connected to the U.S. military is a plus, but not required. 

Compensation

For the past eight years, Travis Manion Foundation has been recognized as a “Best Nonprofit to Work For” by the Nonprofit Times. TMF was also named a “Best Nonprofit Workplace” by the Best Companies Group in 2026. 

The pay for this position is $60-65k and is based on the candidate’s work experience, skills, and abilities. TMF offers a benefits package, which includes medical and dental, short-term disability, long-term disability, life and participation in our 401(k) program, to name a few. In addition, we have an attractive PTO policy along with holidays and paid parental leave.
