Veterans in Service: Wreaths Across America - National Cemetery of the Alleghenies

Serve shoulder-to-shoulder with volunteers from The Mission Continues, which was recently acquired by Travis Manion Foundation. Veterans in Service projects like this one are made possible by support from Navy Federal Credit Union.

Remember the fallen. Honor those who serve. Teach the next generation the value of freedom. It’s the mission of Wreaths Across America. This year the Pittsburgh Platoon is joining Wreaths Across America in their mission by placing wreaths on the gravesite of fallen service members. Feel free to come on your own or with your family to volunteer.

National Wreaths Across America Day at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. There will be an opening ceremony which is scheduled for December 13, 2025 at noon with wreath placement immediately following.

So that each volunteer has the opportunity to lay a wreath, we ask that you do not take more than 1-2 wreaths per person. The purpose is to remember and honor our veterans by saying their name, so we'd like you to take time to reflect at each grave when you lay the wreath.

Due to high volume of volunteers, we recommend you get there at least an hour early, carpool if possible, and prepare for a memorable day of wreaths and camaraderie.
