Eric was an Army brat.. He attended Radford University and was commissioned through ROTC in 1988 into the Field Artillery. He went on to serve in Germany, where he was sent to serve in Operation Desert Storm. After returning home, Eric earned his Masters Degree in Behavioral Science and Counseling and was a Tactical Officer at USMA. He served with the 75th Ranger Regiment for two years and then went to Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon return, he earned his PhD and served on the faculty at USMA teaching Military Leadership. He was diagnosed with Bladder cancer in 2012 and passed away 16 months later. - submitted by family
