Travis Manion Foundation Hosting Operation Legacy Service Projects Around the Country in Honor of Veterans Day

Travis Manion Foundation (TMF), one of the nation’s leading veteran service organizations, is hosting more than 35 Operation Legacy service projects in communities across the country in honor of Veterans Day.

TMF’s Operation Legacy projects bring veterans, families of fallen heroes, and TMF supporters together to meet the critical needs of their community. During Operation Legacy, TMF unites communities through a common cause, with volunteers living the “If Not Me, Then Who…” ethos and leading a movement of character, leadership, and selfless service.

“This Veterans Day, the best way to thank a Veteran is to serve alongside them,” said Ryan Manion, President, Travis Manion Foundation. “TMF has continued to engage Spartans nationwide, bringing purpose and meaning to thousands of lives through service. Our attitude of resilience and perseverance has positioned TMF to find new ways to create impact, empower more leaders, and develop character in future generations.”

Some highlights of TMF’s impact include:

  • In 2021, TMF trained and activated nearly 7,000 Veterans and Survivors to serve in their communities
  • TMF Veterans and Survivors impacted over 42,000 youth across 800 events nationwide.
  • TMF Spartans are strengthening communities with over 65,000 volunteer hours each year.

About Travis Manion Foundation

Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) unites communities to strengthen America's national character by empowering veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop and lead future generations. In 2007, 1stLt Travis Manion (USMC) was killed in Iraq while saving his wounded teammates. Today, Travis' legacy lives on in the words he spoke before leaving for his final deployment, "If Not Me, Then Who..." Guided by this mantra, veterans continue their service, develop strong relationships with their communities, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Additional information about the Foundation can be found at www.travismanion.org.
